Our UBC Botanical Garden Experience
At the UBC Botanical Garden, our favorite spot was the bridge! It was exciting to learn about the different plants and trees, all growing in the same garden. We liked the circle sharing activity, focusing on grounding ourselves before the tour. The UBC Botanical Garden was a place we found easy to emerse ourselfs in. Through the many different gardens our group found it useful to not only focus on what we could see, but what we could hear. During our visit it was very raining, allowing our group the auditory experience of listening to the rain bounce down to the ground to the leaves. Our instructor also encouraged us to experience how the environment felt by feeling the leaves, trees and soil. It was amazing to learn about the Botanical Garden using our senses!
