Considering relationships, weather, and our inquiry space.
Enjoying the fall colours and sounds in our inquiry space.
One of the Early Learning Framework Principles is, “Relationships are the context for well-being and learning” (ELF, p. 15).
The relationship we have with the land changes and develops over the seasons, and on this day, we really appreciated the warm fall sunshine and connected to our inquiry space through sensory experiences – by soaking in the rainbow of reds, oranges, and yellows and the sound of our footsteps crunching through the leaves on the ground. We also connected with each other as we explored the space. It felt easy to enjoy and learn from the space with such beautiful weather! We wondered if our connection to the space would change as the weather changed and if colder temperatures would mean less stories to experience and learn in our inquiry space.
